Our Parish Policy

Having made an initial enquiry you will be invited to attend a Baptism Introduction Evening (which we hold every month.) This will look deeper into the subject of Thanksgiving & Baptism with the help of a video and the opportunity to hear from a family in the church about their experience of Baptism.

At the end of the evening we will discuss with you the type of service you have chosen (Thanksgiving or Baptism) for your child. If you choose a Service of Thanksgiving a date for this will be fixed at that evening.

If you choose Baptism we would like to welcome you to attend church on a regular basis and to attend an evening where we will go through the Service of Baptism with you and help you to understand the vows and promises you will be making.

To avoid disappointment please note :

We can only hold one of these services for you if you live in the parish, or if you

are on the Electoral Roll of our church.

We cannot book dates immediately for baptism as preparation time is

required first.

The Service of Thanksgiving and Baptism will take place on the 3rd Sunday in the month.

All godparents must be baptised.

This is an important event and our aim is to help you prepare and understand all that Baptism involves especially in terms of Christian commitment. We look forward to getting to know you in the weeks to come as you explore with us the Baptism of your child.
