INTRODUCTION TO ORIENTERRING AT CAPSTONE PARK - £1 FEE OR FREE FOR 4LIFE
MEMBERS - PLEASE BRING A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH YOU.


It is open to EVERYONE*, and it is FREE. Just
register, turn up and WALK, it could not be simpler!
Walks will be set at a moderate pace for all to enjoy, there will be
short breaks and comfort stops, our aim is to enjoy the walks and achieve a
good level of fitness. The launch will
consist of two walks one being a 5km walk taking you to Capstone Park, the
other a smaller 2km walk taking you around Fort Luton. Both will be lead by a qualified walk leader
to keep up with the speediest person,
there will also be a back marker to keep up with those that just want to take a
more leisurely stroll – no one will get lost from the group – or left
behind!
Despite the large inclines around

that walking is good for blood pressure and lowering the cholesterol
level? It can help improve poor
circulation and help with losing weight as part of a well balanced diet and
also relieves stress.
Along with this health benefits that are a variety of social benefits
achieved, such as meeting different people when walking within a group as well
as knowing that your safety is our utmost concern.
If you are a
first time walker you do not need specialised equipment...a comfortable pair of
shoes and suitable clothing to suit the weather is all you need. Water will be provided from the start.
There will be NO membership fees or a commitment to
attend future walks; you can attend as many as you want to, all we ask is a
little feedback of how YOU FELT the launch went.

16yrs must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old at ALL TIMES
during the event. Unfortunately the
walking route is not deemed safe for wheelchair users, however, it is
hoped that future walks will incorporate all people and apologise that we
can not accommodate them at this current event due to their safety. ·
No dogs
are permitted on any walks on the grounds of safety
