Menu Help With Your Loss Useful Contacts
This page comes with our love and prayers, especially if you
are experiencing grief and sadness in your life. As a parish we take
approximately 85 funerals each year and have the privelege of drawing alongside
the families of those who die and offer pastoral care and support.
Bereavement is something which most people experience at
some time in their lives, and we react to it in different ways. Grief is very
painful and may give rise to feelings you did not expect. You may find the
information in this page helpful.
None of us can know the pain and hurt you must be going
through inside at the loss of a loved one.
The only thing you can share with others are the memories and stories of
a life shared together.
For some this can be a lonely and frightening experience
especially after the funeral has taken place.
Lonely because some feel they have no one to share their grief with and
frightening because all sorts of 'out of the ordinary' things happen to us in
our body and mind. Both of these
emotions are very natural in bereavement and this has been produced to help you
understand what is happening.
